The eagle will rise again (Alan Parsons Project)

About the band: The Alan Parsons Project were a British rock band active between 1975 and 1990, with famous producer Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson as main members, and various guests. They released twelve studio albums, of which the first seven were very successful. The Alan Parsons Project currently have two songs in my list of about 200 best pop/rock songs of all time.

About the song: The eagle will rise again is a track from the 1978 album Pyramid, an album that lives up to their reputation as a "prog lite" band, more artistic than the usual pop and rock music, but not as complicated as bands like Genesis or Yes. Excellent catchy tunes, great production, and still fun to listen to after all these years. One of the most successful guest vocalists that they have used over the years is Colin Blunstone, and on this album he sings this gorgeous acoustic ballad, surely one of the best songs in the long career of the Alan Parsons Project. Run time 4:22.
