Hey little girl (Icehouse)
About the band: Icehouse is an Australian rock band, formed in 1977, who had international successes in the eighties with their synthpop/New Wave music. They released nine studio albums. Icehouse currently have one song in my list of 200 best pop/rock songs of all time.
About the song: Hey little girl is a track from their 1982 album Primitive man. Style-wise it can be described as a slightly discofied version of late Roxy Music. It was a minor hit in the USA and the UK, but reached the top 10 in a dozen European countries, including the Netherlands. The special voice of their lead singer and artistic brain Iva Davies, reminiscent of Bryan Ferry and David Sylvian, helped to make this a memorable song. Run tim: 4:20.
