About the band: The Alan Parsons Project were a British rock band active between 1975 and 1990, with famous producer Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson as main members, and various guests. They released twelve studio albums, of which the first seven were very successful. The Alan Parsons Project currently have two songs in my list of about 200 best pop/rock songs of all time.
About the song: Old and wise is a track from the 1982album Eye in the sky, a gorgeous ballad with Colin Blunstone taking the lead vocals. It is a beautiful song about growing old, combining both the threat and the promise that it will turn out to be alright in the end. Run time 4:46.
