About the song: Michèle, a track from the 1976 album Drôles de chansons, was a number one hit in France, but failed to chart in the Netherlands. It did received sufficient radio play that I got interested in it, and appreciate it for the excellent song that it is. In this tender ballad, Lenorman reminisces on his high school sweetheart, love found and lost, in the best French chanson tradition. Run time 3:08.
