Bubbling under: Here comes the rain again (Eurythmics)

What a year 1983 was for the Eurythmics (image credit). They first released a great album Sweet dreams, with one of the classic eighties' hits Sweet dreams are made of this, and then the same year they topped that with the even better album Touch. Perfect synthesizer pop, as evidenced in the hit singles Who's that girl, Right by your side, and above all Here comes the rain again, all three reaching the UK top ten, and the latter also a US top 5 hit. Here comes the rain again is the best song they ever made in my opinion, full of melodrama, great string arrangements, and showing off Annie Lennox' superb voice.
