62. L'adolescente (Yves Duteil & Jeanne Moreau)

Yves Duteil is one of France's most loved singers, who reached his peak in the late seventies with the album Tarantelle. The single Prendre un enfant dans les mains from said album has repeatedly been voted the best French song of all time in France - rather astonishingly as I think he has produced far better songs. His finest effort in my opinion is the 1979 song L'adolescente, which he made for the movie of the same name. Jeanne Moreau, one of the best-known French actresses of that time, starred in the movie and joins Yves Duteil in a tender love song, introduced and finalized by a haunting piano tune, which sounds like it has been recorded in an empty cinema (image credit).

Other songs by this act that would have qualified: not applicable.
