75. She's leaving home (Beatles)

The Beatles (image credit) changed the course of pop/rock music with their release of the 1967 landmark album Sergeant Pepper's lonely hearts club band. One of the tracks of this album is the only song from their impressive repertoire that qualifies for my list, although they have made a dozen or so that come very close. She's leaving home is a perhaps rather controversial choice from their repertoire, an almost too sweet song (those harps skirt the danger zone of becoming kitsch...) about a girl leaving her parents - but interestingly observed from the parents' point of view.

Other songs by this act that would have qualified: not applicable.
