96. Hey little girl (Icehouse)

Icehouse (image credit) is a relatively unknown band from Australia, who had their only major international hit in the eighties with the 1982 song Hey little girl from their second album Primitive man. Style-wise it can be described as a slightly discofied version of late Roxy Music. It was a minor hit in the USA and the UK, but reached the top 10 in a dozen European countries, including the Netherlands. The special voice of their lead singer and artistic brain Iva Davies, reminiscent of Bryan Ferry and David Sylvian, helped to make this a memorable song.

Other songs by this act that would have qualified: not applicable.
